Did you guys try my Lemon Ginger Cayenne Shot yet? Check it out. But either way, I wanted to share another immunity booster with you as part of my “Winter Wellness” series.
I also got this recipe, Ginger Fix, from “The Juice Generation Book”.
Warming Ginger Almond Milk
What you need:
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I used vanilla)
- juice from 2 inches fresh ginger, peeled*
- 1 tbsp agave
- pinch of cinnamon
- pinch of cardamom
What do to:
- Juice the ginger
- Combine the juiced ginger and all other ingredients in a small pot and heat on the stove
- *if you don’t have a juicer, no problem! Simply take a few slices of peeled ginger and throw in the small pot.
If you like chai tea, you’ll love this. There’s the perfect amount of spice from the ginger (+ cinnamon + cardamom) and sweetness from the agave. The cinnamon adds antiviral properties and can also help lower blood sugar. Cardamom can be used to treat bronchitis and sore throats. And who can forget all the health benefits of ginger? Check them out here.
This warming bevy is perfect for when you’re suffering from a sore throat or cough.
Cheers to a healthy winter xo
